Coming Up…

Neighborhood Housing and Fork and Plough are joining efforts by starting off a new series of dinners geared towards learning more about the affordable housing situation in Greenville and Neighborhood Housing and its mission.

Come share your ideas and thoughts on how to slow down the gentrification effects and help increase the affordability of homes in local neighborhoods.

Come join Neighborhood Housing Staff and Board in their first Jeffersonian dinner, or as some call it, “a Dinner Party with a Twist”, debate and learn about the Affordable Housing situation in Greenville, and be a part of the search for options and possible solutions to the challenges our local Low-and-Moderate Income population is facing.

Following the principles established by Jefferson himself, and taking them to a new level, we will enjoy a great evening of conversations with people of any side or background, in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, while enjoying a wonderful dinner prepared by our friends and supporters at Fork & Plough, sipping on the wines they will have chosen, if you would like, for the occasion.

Doors open at 6pm, with ability to meet participants and enjoy a cash bar until dinner is served at 7pm.

Event will be held at: 1629 East North Street, Greenville SC 29607.

NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING JUST COMPLETED ITS LATEST REHAB PROJECT, WHICH IS NOW FOR SALE!!

We are proud to announce the completion of the full upgrade and rehabbing of the above house, and we are now looking for its future owners. It is located at 102 Devenridge Court, in Greer. It is officially a 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, even though the huge bonus room over the 2-car garage could be turned into a 4th Bedroom. It has a great kitchen with an island and a breakfast area by a 60-foot bay window overlooking the backyard, and an enormous family/living room with a dual (gas/wood) fire place. All the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, and the house has 2 sets of stairs to ease the flow of a large family. Kids will enjoy the fully fenced backyard, or the full 0.4 acres of this cul-de-sac lot, while you, as parents, might prefer to try to “get away” on the screened back porch. One thing the person in charge of keeping it clean and in order will love is the big laundry/mud room by the back door, equipped with its very own sink where those little ones can “dust off” before going any further. During this renovation, Neighborhood Housing spared no effort, which main features to list as examples are the brand-new vinyl, energy efficient, windows, the beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen as well as the guest bathroom downstairs, complemented by a very peaceful “Dorian Grey” color all throughout the house, and of course, all new flooring as well as every piece of hardware or appliances. Do not hesitate to call and inquire about it and see if maybe this is your new perfect place to raise your family.
